of IT team in my school



"For the "bug" reported by your friend, that is not
realy a program bug of Firefox.

That is because the intranet system we are using at
school (my-itschool) is only aimed at IE users only.

We have complained to the intranet services company
but they said that they support IE only.

Dear （收信人）,

It is apparent that they DID some work to make Firefox
work for the login page after the complain from the
IT team of your school.

After some searching work from Google, I've found that
the provider of "my-itschool" is TIM EDPlatform
Limited, which is one of the Microsoft®
Registered Partner and educational software provider.
They seems to claims that the TCO with Micro$oft is
lower than Linux. See:

The authenticity from Micro$oft has been being
suspected by their ways to conduct their studies.
Recently the IT journalism has been criticising on it.

It's highly unlikely to convince this IT company to
provide services for the users of standard compliant
browser such as Firefox. (Of course there are many
cases that some companies would hear the opinions) As
long as they provide the NON-STANDARD COMPLIANT
Internet Explorer ONLY content without being concerned
about the complains made from the clients, I strongly
advocate stop renewing contract with them!!

I have been checking information of the issue and I
hope I can do the best to voice out the issue to the
institutions, edcationalists, etc so that to let them
know how this encourage monoploy and sabotage
information freedom.
