NS(Mozilla)最令我激賞的其中之一就是不用IE當瀏覽核心的E-mail Client...如果這樣的話....那....配合Phonix一起用...跟Mozilla還有NS有啥差別?...=.=...目前還未知這個E-mail Client的價值中...=.=.. |

期待這個郵件程式能夠比現在的 mozilla 的好， 一直以來都還沒用過 outlook 或 outlook express. |

小米 寫: NS(Mozilla)最令我激賞的其中之一就是不用IE當瀏覽核心的E-mail Client...如果這樣的話....那....配合Phonix一起用...跟Mozilla還有NS有啥差別?...=.=...目前還未知這個E-mail Client的價值中...=.=.. 可參考最發佈的那份roadmap，這可謂大震盪。不過目前還盪不到就是了。
之後的Phoenix也會納入Mozilla.org底下，也就是它不會是獨立作戰，Mozilla.org會加入研發群組。 而Minotaur則是另一支研發群組。 將這兩套併在一起，就叫做「Mozilla suits」（←不確定有沒有拼錯 ^^;;） ……它裡頭有畫個組織圖，會比較清楚未來的分屬方式。 ……反正我只知道，Browser與Mail會分開研發，而合起來才叫做「Mozilla suits」， 而Browser的部分將等於是現在的Phoenix。 …大概瞭解嗎？^^|| |

主要的價值就是在"精簡"之前apple選擇了用Konquerer 作預設的瀏覽器就是因為他比較"小" 原本的mozilla 太龐大了，在新的roadmap出來後，發展的重心改成將原本的mozilla拆成幾個分開的程式，也就是broser Phoenix 和 mail client Minotaur 之後可能會有comproser 的分開版本。這樣的好處是使用者可以根據自己的需求選擇搭配。程式也變的更為精簡。 |

在國外討論區看到的 The fastest browser gets a new name! From TechConnect: "After months of discussion and further months of legal investigation, we're finally comfortable moving forward with new names. The new name for the Phoenix browser is 'Firebird'. The documentation and product strings will be updated soon. In addition to securing Firebird, we've also got the OK from those contributing legal resources to use the name 'Thunderbird' for a mail client. Hopefully this will be the end of naming legal issues for a while." Mozilla 1.4 will be the last version of the Mozilla suite as you know it. All later versions will be based of standalone versions of Firebird (Mozilla Browser) and Thunderbird (Mozilla Mail), who should integrate each other nicely. |
