The Camino Project has released Camino 1.6.10, a stability and security update for Camino 1.6. Camino Project recommend all users update to this version.
Camino 1.6.10 contains the following improvements over version 1.6.9:
- Disabled Java on Mac OS X 10.6 “Snow Leopard” to prevent crashes.
- Fixed a possible crash when closing a tab by clicking on its close button.
- Improved ad-blocking.
The version of the Java Embedding Plugin included in Camino 1.6.x is incompatible with Java on Mac OS X 10.6 “Snow Leopard,” so Camino 1.6.10 and later disable Java by default on that version of Mac OS X. Users who need Java should manually upgrade the bundled Java Embedding Plugin using
these instructions.
Camino 1.6.10 can be downloaded from
CaminoBrowser.org website. A detailed change list and release note of Camino 1.6.10 is available in
this page.
Camino 1.6.10 requires Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later, 50MB free hard drive space and is a universal binary which runs natively on both PowerPC- and Intel- based Macs.
