Netscape 8.0 pre-Beta is now available for Netscape Prototype testers.
Version 0.9.4 – based on Firefox 1.0.

The general public beta (scheduled to be released today) has been pushed back a couple of weeks due to some bugs which we aren't yet comfortable with the general public experiencing.

- Windows 98 functionality is limited due to frequent crashes when using the Trident rendering engine
- Formfill isn’t yet working as designed
- The Trust List (black lists, white lists, anti-phishing lists, etc) won’t be updating with live information just yet

坦白說，我現在不是很想再測試了，因爲上次弄到我的系統幾乎崩潰，我覺得theme當然是更好看，但是theme不會成爲我放棄現在自己更改的netscaped firefox的理由。
而且居然還是這麽肥，12M，大概正式版本可以選擇取消安裝某些添油加醋的組件。 :roll:
btw，我一直都在關注sillydog701 :D

沒關係沒關係, 雖然我之前的經驗是開的久了,整個瀏覽器會停住, 必須要重開才能繼續正常使用...不過我還是支持Netscape..希望他現在有改正這個問題...

目前使用中, 整體的功能大概就是先把mail剔除掉的Netscape..
使用上的感覺跟感受的話,就是新版的功能真是令人滿意...繼續發掘中...哈哈..好爽..

Webmail的功能用意是挺好的,不˙過在使用上面的相容性還有待測試...如果有兩個以上的hotmail帳號..或是有兩個以上的Gmail帳號...那麼登入的時候會變成前一個登入的帳號...

Yes. I don't need to hide my identity.
I use “Antony” in SillyDog701, and “ants” in MozillaZine and MozTW.

我明白是closed beta... 不過真的很想下載來試試... 真不明白為什麼要登記後才能下載...

If you are referring to where to get a copy of Netscape 8 pre-Beta (or previous Prototypes), I'd say no. I don't want to see MozillaTaiwan to have bad relationship with Netscape.

Currently, the software is still under testing for Prototype testers, not a public release. All mirrors hosted outside the main source is considered as "unauthorised redistribution."

2. RESTRICTIONS. Except as otherwise expressly permitted in this Agreement, you may not: (i) modify or create any derivative works of the Browser or documentation, including customization, translation or localization; (ii) decompile, disassemble, reverse engineer, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code for the Browser (except to the extent applicable laws specifically prohibit such restriction), or the underlying ideas or algorithms of the Browser; (iii) redistribute, encumber, sell, rent, lease, sublicense, or otherwise transfer rights to the Browser; (iv) remove or alter any trademark, logo, copyright or other proprietary notices, legends, symbols or labels in the Browser; (v) block, disable or otherwise affect any advertising, advertisement banner window, tabs, links to other sites and services, or other features that constitute an integral part of the Browser; (vi) share the password for accessing the Browser download area with anyone else; (vii) use the Browser in any way that violates this Agreement or any law; or (viii) authorize or assist any third party to do any of the things described in this paragraph.

因為知道這個才遲遲不敢放出啊。.後來大陸那邊那是放很快...不過也是因為第二版遲遲未出現的原因吧....

正式版應該會很快, 大家期待看看吧..我個人認為那個Webmail的設計...幾乎是想擺脫Mail Client的感覺...這樣我也不是很喜歡...雖然說很好用...不過我還是習慣瀏覽信件一體的感覺...
