文章主題 :  Safari 2.0.1 and 1.3.1 released
Apple Computer released updates for Safari in both Panther and Tiger. The company released version 2.0.1 for Tiger and version 1.3.1 for Panther. Both updates have minimalist notes that say simply the update "improves website compatibility, application stability and support for 3rd party web applications."

Please note: Safari is not freeware. Safari is free to licensed Mac OS X users (Jaguar or later) for running on a real Mac hardware.

Not exactly. But Safari 2.x is only available for Mac OS X v.10.4 "Tiger" users.

Safari 1.3 is available for Mac OS X 10.3.9 users.

Because the Apple WebKit is part of Mac OS X, so there are different major different versions for different Mac OS X.

Also because security issues needs to be fixed.
(But actually I don't think that's necessary because no one needs to hack into a Mac. Macs are really secure.)
