A great news for Mac OS X 10.4.3 (or later) and .Mac subscribers. You can now encrypt your conversation in iChat.

To enable encryption, simply go to
iChat > Preferences... > Accounts > (select your .Mac account on the left pane) > Security
And click “Enable” button to enable iChat encryption.
The “Enable” for iChat encryption looks like this:
Once it's changed, it will become:
