Mozilla and Firefox in Mac OS X have very ugly Chinese character support, however the English display is acceptable.

Safari 1.0 (Mac OS X 10.2.8 ):


Mozilla 1.7b (Mac OS X 10.2.8 ):

In English pages, Mozilla 1.7b uses the natively font smoothing technology built-in Mac OS X.

Now, Chinese page

Mozilla 1.7b (Mac OS X 10.2.8 ):

With Chinese characters, it seems to me Mozilla uses different type of font set, and the font smoothing is not used. It might also due to the web author who only specifies Fonts that's available on Windows platform.

Again, sorry for those not on broadband, the loading might be a bit slow. I hope you can see the display issue among all Chinese webpages.
