Sorry for using English to post because my box still can't input Chinese yet.

1)
Simplified Chinese fonts
They can't be displayed correctly on Mozilla, some missing, disregarding having tried all following codes;
GB2312
GB18030
HZ
ISO-2022-CN
Unicode-(UTF-8)
etc.

'On Languages and Area' window showing;
EnglishUS
Chinese Simplified (China) (need to renew/update)
Traditional Chinese (zh_TW)

But I could not find where to update the Simplified Chinse Fonts

Some Chinese font missing

Kindly advise how to fix these problems. Thanks in advance.

This means you need to update your language pack
(user interface), not fonts.


Mostly because your operating system (Linux in this case)
does not include correct fonts. You have to go download
and install them.
You can see several characters because they can be found
and replaced from Simplified Chinese font which you have.

Where can I find font sets to downloand and install on this Fedora Core 2 box.

Those with update marks. In your case, Simplified Chinese.
Click the "Download/Get more language packs..." to find out.


This is an issue not related to Mozilla. The real procedure of
installing fonts depends on your operating system, FC2 in this case.
Most fonts are not free for download so you're on your own.
Arphic has released few TTF files for UNIX communities.
You may try to find them in ftp://freebsd.sinica.edu.tw/pub/keith/zh-arphicttf/
Bitstream also released a unicode TTF in the name of 'cyberbit'
which is still available on some Netscape mirrors.
(Bitstream itself does not provide cyberbit anymore).
However you still have to check your system to see how and
what font files you can install (unicode based? big5 based?
ttf?)

On this page I could not discover ' Get more language packs... '
I only found Simplified Chinese v1.6 (not v1.7) there. I think this may be the problem. (Traditional Chinese has v1.7)

Furthermore can I copy fonts untared to respective folder. Then they will be detected by OS
